Skin Needling in Sydney

Request a Consultation

Skin needling is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine that can give results similar, if not comparable, to those of a laser or IPL treatment.

Wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks, and scars can all benefit from this treatment. Skin needling builds up the connective tissue in the lower skin layers (dermal layers) while keeping intact the protective layers of the skin (epidermal layers). Unlike lasers, the treatment is available for all skin types and can give results in many cases that are as good as standard laser therapy. It is able to target skin concerns such as fine lines and acne scars, improve skin tone and texture, and even help to even out pigmentation and vascular concerns.

How does Skin Needling work?

During your procedure, microneedles are used to create controlled microinjuries to the skin in order to stimulate and produce your own natural collagen and elastin. This is called ‘Collagen Induction Therapy’, the skin then starts to repair itself.

With this controlled stimulation, your skin goes through a natural cell turnover process, producing new collagen and elastin for months to come. This results in a stronger dermis (deeper skin layer) and an epidermis (top skin layer) with softer lines and wrinkles and a better skin tone and texture.

How can my skin benefit

As mentioned above, new collagen production reverses long-term sun damage by reducing fine lines and wrinkles and improving skin tone and texture. Skin is left looking softer, with fewer visible signs of ageing and hyperpigmentation.
